Description:

This is the well known sweet tasting nut, often sold roasted on the street in Winter, especially around Christmas. This is a large tree and requires space; a fast growing species. Its dark green foliage is quite decorative on its own, including the yellow, hanging male flowers in Spring. It prefers slightly acidic and a good fertile soil, it tolerates well Summer heat though, it is easy to grow. Deciduous. We have young, but strong seedlings on offer.
