Family:
Apocynaceae
Origin:
Mediterranean regions of Europe and North Africa

Description:

Extremely showy form of the common Oleander, but this grows only to a very compact size, up to 1m, making it an excellent pot plant or patio plant. It bushes out freely as well and remain small in size and it is evergreen. It is widely planted on roadsides and parks in the Mediterranean. Our seedlings are from seeds of a dark purple form, and will flower probably the same colour, although slight differences may occur. The flowers open in clusters at the end of branches of the years' growth, all summer long into the Autumn. A very ornamental plant and easy to grow, very drought tolerant. It is best to overwinter it frost free but slight frosts won't harm the plants.
